Sun In Aries

You have a strong sense of your own individuality: the idea of living a life of obscurity doesn’t appeal to you at all. Your self-assertiveness is both your friend and your enemy. It’s your friend when you’re the only one with the nerve to speak out against injustice, your enemy when, you open your big mouth and suddenly find your foot there!

You always seem to learn the hard way. One thing you must become aware of is that assertiveness and aggression are expressions of the same energy. Aggression is the most basic and negative form whereas assertiveness is a developed and more controlled version and thus will bring better results in your life. They are both human expressions of the energy of Mars, the planetary ruler of Aries.

Socially, you are antisocial. If your partner wants to meet you at eight, you’ll turn up at ten. If they then show they’re hurt, you get angry. Then they get angry. So you storm out! They phone you later to apologize, because they know they’ll never hear it from you, and on it goes. From your point of view you didn’t do anything wrong. But is it right to live in your own time zone?

To a great extent, you live in your own head: “your thoughts” are your main concerns; you can be oblivious to your environment and people around you. This can make you appear insensitive but to you it’s what you’re thinking that matters. It can also mean that you are an idealist, for it implies that you set your own standards and live by them, despite the opinions of others.

At work you’re a bundle of energy; you sweep the office with verve and panache with your unflagging ability to do twice as much as anyone else in less than half the time. Your colleagues love you because you save them an enormous amount of effort; your boss hates you because he goes home thinking it’s only a matter of time before you railroad him out of his job!

Like your zodiac symbol the ram, your attitude to life is often to run at it head first. This is a natural impulse inherent in all Arians but makes you susceptible to headaches. This is nature’s way of telling you that your running too fast! A more balanced approach to your life would save on the paracetemol!

You are one of life’s initiators. Knowing what needs to be done next in a given situation, you’re usually the first to act – though not always the first to finish. You can think on your toes and carry a schedule around in your head of what you are going to do next. Sometimes you impose this onto other people with your ‘no time like the present’ attitude, and sometimes you irritate them with it. Not everyone approaches life with the same enthusiasm as you, but then few people can keep up when the going gets tough.

Relaxation is important to those ruled by Mars. You need time to balance your fiery energy with rest, though getting yourself to sit still long enough isn’t always easy.

Sun In Taurus

You’re one of the most steadfast and loyal people around. You expect these qualities in your partner too – in fact, they wouldn’t be your partner if they didn’t possess them. In the home you’re a godsend, whipping up meals out of nothing and making sure the cheese plant’s always watered. Bliss for you is settling down to a night’s viewing of all your favourite shows on television, preceded by a sumptuous, candle-lit meal for just you and your partner.

However, you can also one of the most stubborn creatures alive! Being one of those people who always knows they’re right – because unfailing instinct tells you so -you’ll always stand your ground when challenged, with little regard for personal danger. The problem of course is whether you are being driven by your instinct or your stubbornness. Differentiating between the two is not always easy for they are both natural impulses to Taurians. By realising that stubbornness is a negative trait and instinct is a natural knowing, it is in your best interest to  ecognise your stubbornness whenever possible; it can only be replaced by a greater awareness of your true instinct.

Sensuality is strong in you. You must express your feelings physically by touching the things you love, and by surrounding yourself with people and objects which prompt in you an affectionate response. Money for you is a means for attaining beautiful things.

At work, you’re either the most industrious beaver the world has ever seen, or the laziest creature imaginable!  Your workplace is either completely spick and span, or a small disaster zone. There doesn’t appear to be any middle ground here. But, when you’re good, you’re really good: you keep time; fulfil quotas; save on expenses, turn chaotic problems into methodical and extremely functional ideas -and all this before breakfast!

You have a warm nature and are naturally pleasing to others, at times a little too pleasing. It’s easy to get stuck in friendly patterns where you keep the same approach to people every time you meet them. If your mood is not the same your persona should reflect it, not cover it up with a happy smile. Your love of tranquillity avoids rocky situations; sometimes you can do too much to keep the peace.

Taurus is an earth sign and in astrology the sun correlates to the vital life energies. Basically this means your vitality and general sense of well-being is held in balance by your contact with the earth; gardening, country walks, home grown and organic foods are all therapeutic for you.

Sun In Gemini

You’re forever being accused of being two-sided or superficial. You’ve been hearing the same old thing for years now. What a bore! What this criticism really means is that others just can’t figure you out. It’s your versatility and adaptability that bugs them. People usually progress along predetermined paths and have great difficulty, in fact, in changing direction and incorporating new influences in their lives. You’re faster than that; others know this, and at times they don’t like it simply because they cannot relate to it.Your relationship to life generally is an intellectual one. You have a good mind and you use it. When it comes to making a judgment, you’re a good bet. This is largely because you possess that rare commodity – perception. This is the little voice inside that tells you when you’re right, and when you’re wrong, and, most importantly, when others are right and wrong. It becomes a case after a while of always being one step ahead of events.Socially, you’re a flexible creature, taking all kinds of life styles in your stride. Tolerance, and a liberal attitude towards what passes or not as acceptable, allow you to go further afield in your social adventures than perhaps others might care to experience. This, however, can also get you into trouble.
Imagination is one thing: downright fool-hardiness is quite another!

You have a great need to be partnered: more specifically, you have a great need to be twinned. Since childhood it’s been one of your preoccupations, this matter of twinship. A lot of your energies have been spent trying to solve the riddle of who belongs to whom, and how to find them. Happiness will not be yours until you can look in the mirror and see not only your reflection, but your soulmate’s.

Sun In Cancer

You’re a homelover and a homemaker. Home is somewhere you can retire to, a real haven where you can get away from it all. What takes place on the domestic front, colours your life outside it,for the atmosphere and events at home dictate how you should face the world on other levels.

You have a strong desire to screen not only yourself but others from potentially adverse influences. Sometimes you’re accused of being overprotective, as others might think you’re preventing them from living through normal experience. It’s not that you’re fearful, or anything like that; rather, you want to preserve those people and things for whom you have an affection. You want to keep them just as they are -perfect.

At work you can be very ambitious – even ruthless -in getting to where you want to be. You can easily form alliances for the sake of convenience, and just as easily break them. Some people think you’re a chameleon, always changing colour with circumstance! One thing, though, which never changes, is your tenacity and commitment to your goals. People admire you for this.

Being an emotional creature, you’re often given to moods. These can last for minutes or days. No-one, not even you, can tell how long they’ll take to pass. Moods are not necessarily an indication of depression, or any serious psycho-emotional condition. In a way, they’re again a form of self-protection, as they allow you to block off external pressures and influences until you’ve gathered your normal composure. Look at moods as a time of reflection, a time when you are weighing up your experiences in preparation for the changes that are about to take place.

The Moon is the ruling planet of Cancer and the fastest moving object in the zodiac. Every two and a half days the Moon crosses over into a new sign taking about twenty-eight days to complete the full cycle. During this cycle your moods and feelings can fluctuate with the changing signs. By keeping a monthly diary in relation to the cycle of the Moon you could identify how these rythmic patterns affect you and then use this awareness in your planning.

Sun In Leo

You do love a party, don’t you? If there’s a good time to be had, you’re there. You love all the glitter and glamour, the eye contact and the innuendo, the telling of tall stories. And why not? What’s wrong with wanting to escape for a while, to a world where everything’s possible? Nothing of course, as long as it doesn’t become a habit, that is!

You’re a very proud creature, and you don’t suffer fools lightly. The worst insult you can suffer is public embarrassment. The person who inflicts that kind of humiliation on you is your enemy for life. You guard your personal dignity and self-esteem fiercely.

Your love of colour and parade draws you to such things as the theatre. The flamboyant display of big emotions by larger-than -life characters, and the elevated language which often accompanies such performances, all cater for your admiration of the grand event. Indeed, big subjects need big people, and you have a great respect for heroes and heroines, on or off the stage.

It would bore you to sit around and theorize for too long. You’re full of ideas and have the confidence to translate them into action. Impetuosity and impatience, however, sometimes lead you to leap before looking. It would bring you even greater respect if you were to sit down and think things through perhaps a bit more often. You’ll find that this will result in your plans being more effective and therefore longer-lasting.

Leo is the sign of creative expression and the Sun is symbolic of the inner identity. It is important to you that you have an outlet for your creativity to flow through. To a certain extent you identify more with what you create than just the person you feel you are. Therefore it is healthy for you to take the limelight now and then. Whether it is some physical object you have created or a more personal expression of what you feel deep inside, it is the principle of showing yourself to others, creatively, which is the essence of Leo.

Sun In Virgo

You’re extremely good at watching the purse strings you ensure that all the little things which are so necessary for the ticking over of daily life are looked after properly. You’re a firm believer in the principle of great things coming from small beginnings. Having the patience and interest to nurture these details – frequently overlooked by others – means that whatever project you begin has its roots firmly planted in the ground.

Dietary and nutritional matters fascinate you. You’re continually seeking new ways to deal with the body’s requirements for nourishment. Another one of your beliefs is that you are what you eat. Natural foods – because they imply a natural person – therefore get your support; as, indeed, does anything concerned with the
relation of humankind to the environment.

Actually, you’re a complex mixture of mind and body, of intellect and physicality. As much as you are perfectly willing to cultivate your mental faculties, either for pleasure or because your job demands it, you also have a need to express yourself physically. Exercise and sport are therefore things which you make sure form part of your life on a regular basis.

Your shyness can make you miss out on opportunities and social events, which perhaps you would have loved to attend. Shyness, combined with nervousness, can force you to be withdrawn. Indeed, you must be careful not to paint yourself into a corner and become too isolated from the world.

Your eye for detail is a powerful faculty and there is not much that you do not miss. Because of your ability to notice all the little things that other people overlook, and because of your inner desire to point them out, you can at times come across as being too critical. From your point of view showing a better way of approaching something means that a more perfect result can be reached: all very logical stuff! However, there is always a danger of you sounding like a nitpicking finicky old so-and-so.

The art of being a Virgo is learning how to point out faults in such a way so that you come across as being helpful, and also knowing that what your pointing out will be of any use. It is the art of constructive criticism.

Sun In Libra

Sun In Libra

You have an endless supply of energy, both mental and physical, and can consistently burn the candle at both ends without suffering the usual ill effects. Your dependence on social stimulation is not without its therapy, though, as being in company gives you self-confidence. What really prompts you to shine is having your partner by your side, for their presence provides that vital ingredient needed to level your emotional scales.

Whether you are partnered or not, you do like to flirt with the opposite sex! You frequently turn situations into occasions for self-display – like when the boss comes round, and you show him or her your best side! You do this not necessarily because you fancy the person concerned, rather just to get you noticed, for you thrive on the reaction it provokes.

You have a reputation for balance, but you’re really a person of extremes. Let the facts speak for themselves. You burn the midnight oil because you have energy enough to defeat an elephant; you pursue the vagaries of fashion, never looking like the same person twice! However, there is one area where you do express equilibrium. There’s a place you go to at the back of your mind where everything is perfectly still, at rest – where the scales have found their poise. You express this characteristic through, for instance, love of poetry: the harmonious balance of words.
Or, again, through a love of art, often of the Oriental kind where everything is undisturbed and tranquil. This is your
balance then, projecting your inner stillness into your own environment. Sun Librans are not born with a sense of balance but rather a desire to develop it. Justice, fairness and equality are virtues that both stimulate you and intimidate you just enough so that you pursue the perfect states of these virtues. Indecisiveness is what has to be tamed in order for these virtues to shine.

Sun In Scorpio

Sun In Scorpio

You like things to run according to plan. If you make your mind up to do something, then that’s exactly how it’s going to be. You’ll persevere from beginning to end, whatever the project. It doesn’t matter whether it is painting a house, changing your job, or pursuing that dream angel you see on the bus every morning: what matters is singularity of purpose.

Sometimes single-mindedness can become too rigid, and you can fall into the trap of missing out what’s going on elsewhere. You need to walk a fine line between being purposeful and obsessive. Fixating on a goal can make things pretty intense all round, as you end up living and breathing nothing else.

Money means a great deal to you, and you must have it a lot, if possible. A life of poverty would be too much to ask of you! This is where your determination is put to good use, for you have the ability to save and accumulate, and from such seedlings oak trees grow.

Your feelings can swell from small ripples into absolute tidal waves. That’s fine, so long as they find expression, and don’t become dammed up inside. If this happens -that is, if you allow repression to take hold – your frustration will eventually spill over and innocent people will suffer. But the ultimate victim will be you: self-recrimination corrodes. But you know all this,  don’t you? Still, there’s no harm in repeating the obvious!

Scorpio is ruled by the planet Pluto and correlates to the principle of death and rebirth, or regeneration. With your intense will-power you have the ability to totally change your life around at any given moment. Once you feel like something has outgrown it’s usefulness you can quite easily just disregard it and find something new to take it’s place. Whether it is a relationship, a value or an  object, you seem to know instinctively when it is time to
move on!

Sun In Sagittarius

Sun In Sagittarius

You’re the kind of person who goes to a party and hijacks the stereo so you can have a good time – in fact, you even bring  your own cassettes. After everybody’s gone home at four in the morning, your hosts are left looking daggers at you while you continue to prance around the room. When you’re finally thrown out you feel completely refreshed. You’ve clean forgotten that the person whom you escorted to the party walked out on you hours ago! An exaggerated picture this may be, but you do have this need to expand on anything you are involved in. The
Sagittarian need is to make life bigger and better.

You enjoy conversation, and often make an animated contribution to any discussion – even if your remarks are on a completely different subject to the one in hand. Just as well you have a big mouth, since you’ve so often got your foot in it!

Despite all this, you have a highly developed sense of morality and principle. You instinctively respond to humanitarian issues, and have a passionate belief in freedom on all levels: physical, mental and spiritual. Indeed, at times you’re overwhelmed by the feeling that a greater power is watching over you, that there just might be something ‘out there’. This might bring you to the door of religion. But, whether you become a practicing believer
or not is incidental: it’s the feeling for religion you subscribe to.

You’re a vivacious, social creature who goes mad in confined spaces. If anything – a situation, another person -makes you feel claustrophobic, you bolt like a horse from a stable.

You are very honest and straightforward you see the truth as an essential part of communication and find it hard to relate to people who are deceitful. You have such confidence that you are always willing to admit if you are wrong.

You look on the bright side of life as a rule and can generally make the most out of the worst conditions. It may be hard for you to understand pessimistic types because you can clearly see how their life would be so much better if only they saw things from your point of view.

You can be quite an ambitious creature, and not just in your career. Whatever you set your goals on you have the determination to achieve and your belief in yourself achieving those goals ensures success. However, you can easily change your mind before you get there if something more interesting comes your way. Others may not understand this and see it as a fault, to you life is all about enjoying yourself… and quite right too!

Sun In Capricorn

Sun In Capricorn

Life’s a mountain to be climbed. You start at the bottom, where the terrain is even, and go all the way to top, negotiating rocky paths and steep slopes until finally you reach the summit. And then – well, what a view! You can see forever and a mile. What a great feeling to be higher up than everyone else. It sure is a long way, but it’s definitely worth it in the end, if only for the feeling of superiority!

Having ambition as you do, you will find your way to the top. You’ll do it by the most expedient method available, which usually means taking the conventional route. This means that, literally, you really do start at the bottom but, by virtue of time and place, you gain as you go along, ascending the social scale all the time. At the end of the journey, guess what?  You’re rich and comfortable…

You’re very principled, however, and won’t sell yourself short just to please someone else. You’re one of the moral people, indeed, one of those from whom others frequently find much to learn. Actually, there is something of the teacher in you – or perhaps ‘guru’ would be a better word. That is, you offer not just knowledge but a set of rules to go with it which, if applied correctly, gains the novice the same learning. It’s all done through application and method.

Your cool manner and controlled emotional disposition earns you the respect of many, as they see in you evidence of the maturity they so often desire.

Sun in Aquarius

Sun In Aquarius

You’re the great humanitarian, the dispenser of love and knowledge. You give the wealth of your heart and mind away freely to all and sundry, sometimes for little reward, sometimes for none at all. But the pleasure remains yours; having imparted your gems, you feel you have indeed provided a service. You have done what you do best – communicated the gifts of your spirit for the benefit of society at large. You are, after all, the Water Bearer.

Because you’re a mind person, you’re often accused of being detached and disinterested in matters more emotional and intimate. Not so. It’s just that, well… it’s just that you’re so intelligent, always thinking and using that fabulous brain of yours! And, anyway, intelligent thought fosters intelligent feeling.

As already suggested, your schemes are devised for everyone. In fact, it’s a real concern of yours that society moves ever more forward; that it doesn’t stagnate or regress but evolves from one milestone to another. That is why you often champion ideas and organizations which others might dismiss as merely institutionalized. You view institutions not just as impersonal labyrinths serving only those who ‘belong’, but as potential beacons for the masses, allowing their light to filter from the top down, until all the world is lit.

Your powerful sense of individuality and independence can cause you to appear rebellious and eccentric. You have this inner need to be different that at times can cause you to simply take the opposite view to everything that is presented to you. Aquarians are renowned for being very individual. The truth of the matter is that they have to realise that they are, and in  fact that everyone is in their own right. When an Aquarianrealises this totally they stop trying to prove it to everybody and get on with the more humanitarian issues of the world that they were born to focus on.

Sun in Pisces

Sun In Pisces

You’re a bit of an owl and a pussycat. Two incongruous but mutually compatible travellers. You’re like that. You attach yourself to all kinds of weird and wonderful people, as if you collected oddity for its own sake. And, what’s more, these people attach themselves to you with equal facility. It’s almost a talent of yours, this picking up of strangers along the path of life.

Being a water sign, you probably have a pasion for the sea. Where else would you go, but somewhere away from it all, where you had complete freedom of movement, and where you wouldn’t run into the nearest obstacle every time you turned around? The sea’s a metaphor for all these things and, what’s more, for the freewheeling, wandering approach you have towards life’s fascinating journey.

You want plenty of money. But, in many ways, you’re different to the normal acquisitive masses. You want money, but you’re almost indifferent to its value. It becomes a blurred issue for you, this thing of wealth. It buys things but, in the end, it’s meaningless: it’s just so much wrapping paper, after all.

Another side to your character tends to manifest when you take a break or go on holiday. You don’t realise sometimes just how much the hustle and bustle of daily life can affect you internally.

Your mind adapts easily to your routines no matter how hectic they may become. After a certain time “away from it all”, a more laid-back, easy going and often more caring side to your nature begins to surface as the restlessness gently eases away. Because of this it is important that you have plenty of rest and that at least once a day you take ten minutes out to just sit and relax. You are psychically sensitive to the energy that emanates from others; this can drain you if you mix with negative people too much. Taking a shower can be one of the most therapeutical
things a Piscean can do to keep their vital energy levels balanced.

Your astrological symbol is two fishes swimming in opposite direction. The imagination is one fish, you’re the other. You’ll often promise things then not follow them through; one fish makes the promise the other wriggles out of the commitment. Dealing with you can be like trying to hold two wet fishes in one hand. Pisces is the sign of deception. This doesn’t mean every pisces is a liar or a cheat. You are good at pretending something isn’t there, or avoiding an issue if you are not in the mood. You can let someone down, and if they fail to mention it afterwards, think that you’ve got away with it. Piscians have to learn to follow through their promises or not make them in the first place.
